Chairman

Peter has been the President and Chairman of the Club since 1984.

Treasurer

Val joined WBTC in August 1999 and has served on the Committee for many years, becoming Treasurer in 2015.

She contributes to both the Finance and the Future Planning sub-committees.

Committee Member

Nick has been a member for 35 years.

He is currently the Chair of both the Planning & Development sub-committee and the Maintenance sub-committee.

He also sits on the Finance sub-committee.

Jennie joined WBTC in 2009 and the Committee in late 2021.She also participates in the Social and Finance sub-committees.

She captains one of the Ladies teams.

Jeremy joined the Club in 2001 and the Committee in 2017
He is part of the future planning sub-committee
He is also currently the men's captain, running the men's 3rd team and co-captaining the mixed 2nd team

Penny joined WBTC over 30 years ago, and the Committee 10 years after that.

She is involved in front of house policies and contributes to the HR and Social sub-committees.

She has been captain of the Ladies fourth team.

Helen joined the Club in 1999 and became a Committee member in 2013

She is currently the Ladies' Captain and runs the 2nd Ladies' and 2nd Mixed teams

Secretary

Sally joined WBTC in 2005 and the Committee in October 2021.

She is Captain of the third Ladies team and a LTA qualified referee.

She contributes to Coaching/Tournaments, HR and Social sub-committees.

My name is Tracy. I've been a member of WBTC for 15 years. I enjoy playing both social and competitive tennis.

With my husband, I share the captaincy of one of the Mixed teams. We play in both Winter and Summer leagues to represent the Club.

Before I retired I taught at a local primary school. As part of my Deputy Head role, I was one of the safeguard leads for the school, so realise the importance of both confidentiality and sensitivity when dealing with any safeguard needs within the Club.

Young Person's Welfare Ambassador YPWA

Hi, I'm Thomas and I am the YPWA here at WBTC.

I wanted to get involved because tennis has alwas been a big part of my life, and I believe everyone - especially younger players - should feel safe, supported and confident when they're at the Club.

As YPWA, my role is to help represent younger members, promote a positive environment, and act as someone approachable to provide a link between junior members and the venue Welfare Officers. I work alongside the welfare team to encourage good communication, inclusion and wellbeing across all age groups.

I'm a competitive tennis player who's passionate about the sport and the community around it. Being part of the safeguarding team allows me to give back to the Club, support others, and help make tennis an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone.
